React / React Native Web and Mobile Developer
SETECNA EPC has been developing and offering innovative web-based remote management systems for HVAC systems for over twenty years, used by leading HVAC companies and with a managed fleet of over 5000 systems.
Therefore, as part of an extensive program to expand it R&D department, it is selecting a Web and Mobile Developer (React/ReactNative/Next.js/TensorFlow).
The candidate will have to support the Technical Management in carrying out the following activities:
- Development of new portals for the remote management of technical systems, using React
- Development of new Mobile App for the remote management of technical systems, using React Native
- Development of new multi-platform Desktop Apps for the remote management of technical systems
- Integration of the developed systems with voice assistants (e.g. Amazon Alexa)
- Maintenance of portals developed in PHP/Laravel
- Publication of developed apps in Stores (Google/Apple)
- Maintenance/Updating of cloud systems (e.g. Management of system backups, updating DNS, domains, SSL certificates.
The Candidate’s search is part of an extensive innovation programme, which aims to modernise the entire remote management ecosystem, with the introduction of new technologies of new technologies (React, React Native) and new protocols (e.g. MQTT), all implemented on the Amazon AWS Cloud platform.
Candidates are required to have previous knowledge of at least some of the following technologies:
- PHP
- React
- Framework Next.js
- React Native
- Amazon S3, EC2, RDS
- Amazon Lambda (Aimed in particular at integration with Alexa)
- SQL, in particular PostgreSQL
- Redis
- VB.NET
- C#
Knowledge of Linux and GIT is essential; development uses the Agile paradigm (Scrum specifically), and development is coordinated with Jira.
The search programme also includes the introduction of AI technologies into the systems, in particular for predictive fault diagnosis, predictive regulation and self-tuning of regulation systems, so candidates with previous experience and expertise in this area (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) will be preferred.
We will also consider applications from recent graduates, who will be accompanied by a technical manager and offered a training course.
The place of work is Dossobuono, fraction of Villafranca di Verona, Verona.
Depending on Candidate’s seniority, an appropriate work contract will be proposed; part-time employment or external collaboration may also be considered.
Work is preferably on-site or hybrid basis, but working hours may be defined with the Management with flexibility; in the case of Part-Time, it may be vertical.
Cortex-M Firmware Engineer

Opportunities
This is an interesting opportunity to join an exiting company in the province of Verona active in the development of customised electronic solutions for the control and remote management of air conditioning, heating and at treatments systems.
Responsibilities
The person we are looking for will be integrated into the technical department as part of the enhancement of the embedded firmware development, and will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:
- Program in C and C++ microcontrollers on ARM Cortex M3/M4
- Support and collaborate cross-functionally with the other members of the staff and the production department in analysing and understanding any problems with the systems during their development phase, and work on resolving them
- Collaborate with the production department in defining the construction and testing procedures for the electronic systems produced, including the realisation of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)
Skills
Candidates with the following requirements will be considered for the position:
- Degree in electronic ( computer / mechatronic engineering (candidates with a diploma but proven experience in the role will also be considered)
- Knowledge of C and C++ and the most common development tools
- Experience in using the main tools for diagnosing and debugging electronic systems
Junior candidates will also be considered, with the opportunity to undergo a training and mentoring program on the topics mentioned
Hardware Designer
SETECNA EPC has been developing and offering innovative web-based remote management systems for HVAC systems for over twenty years, used by leading HVAC companies and with a managed fleet of over 5000 systems.
Therefore, as part of an extensive program to expand it R&D department, it is selecting:
Hardware Electronic Designer, Technical Interface of the Production Department
The candidate will have to support the Technical Management in carrying out the following activities:
- Maintenance, Reworking and drafting from scratch of electronic diagrams, mainly of microcontroller systems.
- Placement and Routing of two- and four-layer electronic boards (PCBs)
- Mechanical design of devices, with 3D Cad
- Creation of documents and files for projects production (Panelling, Gerber and CAM file generation, Bill of Materials, preparation of procedures for production and testing)
- Programming of equipment for the production line (SMD/PTH/Drafting of procedures for manual processing)
- Supporting the production department for debugging, testing, board and fault analysis and repair.
The candidate will have to support the Technical Management in board certification and homogenisation, following regulatory aspects, carrying out internal pre-compliance test and collaborating with Test Laboratories to perform tests and draw up reports.
Setecna EPC Srl has its own in-house line dedicated to the production and rapid prototyping of electronic boards, with a Mycronic SMD line (JetPrinter e Pick&Place), PTH SEHO Selective Soldering, Roland UV Printer, Bamboo 3D Printer, mechanical machining, marking and laser cutting department.
The laboratory also has advanced measurement instruments (Tektronix, R&S, Agilent latest generation digital oscilloscopes; EMC pre-compliance instruments, Agilent/Keysight automatic test systems)
Knowledge of the following electronic design software is preferable and will be the candidate’s main means of work:
- Altium Designer (Drafting of schematics and PCB placing)
- Autodesk FUSION/EAGLE (Legacy Scheme maintenance, 3D mechanical design)
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator (Development of graphic product layouts, UV printing) and Autocad (for interacting with machining department) is also appreciated
Knowledge of electronic instrumentation (DMM, Oscilloscopes, Counter, Signal generator, Bench power supplies) is essential
Skills that will also be useful:
- Programming in VB.NET environment (for drafting/maintenance of automatic board testing procedures) and Python
- Knowledge of programmable electronic instrumentation for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)

Visual Basic .NET WPF Developer

As part of an extensive program to expand the R&D department, we are currently seeking a:
VB.NET Developer (WPF framework) on a fixed-term basis, with either a VAT number or Collaboration Contract for a period of 3 months.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Technical Management team to carry out the following tasks:
- Completion and maintenance of an application for the control of temperature regulation boards
- Migration to the .NET Core Framework to enable operation across different platforms
- Drafting of technical documentation
